Mr. Lee pursued a degree in law at the University of Liverpool and read for the Bar Finals at Lincolns’ Inn, England in 1996. He chambered under the guidance of Mr. Chin Yew Meng at Messr. Allen & Gledhill, Kuala Lumpur in 1997 and moved to Hong Kong after his admission as an advocate and solicitor of Malaysia in 1998.

In Hong Kong Mr. Lee mainly practiced as a corporate finance lawyer and for many years was attached with an international law firm Sidley Austin LLP’s Hong Kong Office. At Sidley Austin LLP, Mr. Lee handled a variety of corporate and commercial transactions including representing both issuers and underwriters in connection with the issuers’ listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, corporate acquisitions, due diligence as well as other compliance issues involving listed companies.

Subsequently Mr. Lee joined the Corporate Finance Department of the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong from August 2005 to August 2008. Mr. Lee vetted prospectuses and related marketing materials in respect of public offering of debt securities in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance and the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.

Currently Mr. Lee is a proprietor of JCW Low & Associates, Malaysia and is actively involved in corporate and commercial transactions, wills, trust and probate as well as sale and purchase of properties in Malaysia.
